The Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly has officially handed over the site for the construction of the Municipality's 24-Hour Economy Model Market to Munajak Construction Limited, marking a significant milestone in the Assembly's commitment to promoting local economic growth and improving market infrastructure. The official handing-over ceremony, held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, was led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi, who formally presented the project site to the contractor in the presence of Nananom (Traditional Authorities), key stakeholders, Assembly staff, members of the media, and the general public.
The project will be executed by Munajak Construction Limited, with Fast Thinkers Consult serving as the project consultants to provide technical supervision and ensure quality standards throughout the construction period.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi described the project as a major step towards advancing the Government's 24-Hour Economy initiative, which seeks to create an enabling environment for businesses to operate beyond conventional working hours, generate employment, and stimulate sustainable economic development. He expressed confidence in the contractor's ability to deliver the project within the stipulated timeframe and urged all stakeholders to support the successful implementation of the market. The MCE also appealed to residents to cooperate with the contractors to ensure smooth execution of the works.
