Development planning
The Development Planning Unit under the Central Administration Department is responsible for coordinating development planning activities within the municipality. The unit formulates development plans, policies, and strategies aimed at sustainable socio-economic growth and improved living conditions.
The unit works closely with departments, government agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to identify development needs and priorities. It coordinates medium-term development plans and aligns projects and programmes with national development goals and local priorities.
In addition, the unit monitors and evaluates development projects and programmes, prepares progress reports, collects relevant development data, and provides technical advice to support evidence-based decision-making within the Assembly.
