Budget planning
The Budget Unit under the Central Administration Department is responsible for coordinating the preparation and implementation of the Assembly budget in line with government policies and development priorities. The unit plays a critical role in effective financial planning, resource allocation, and budgetary control to support Assembly programmes and projects.
The unit collaborates with departments and stakeholders to prepare annual and medium-term budgets based on municipal development needs. It ensures that budget estimates are properly coordinated and aligned with the Assembly plans, policies, and available resources.
In addition, the Budget Unit monitors implementation and expenditure patterns to ensure compliance with approved allocations and financial regulations. It prepares budget performance reports and provides technical guidance on budgeting matters to support informed decision-making and accountability.
