The Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon John Thasun on Friday, 8th May, 2020cut sod for the renovation of the female surgical ward of the Municipal Hospital to be used as COVID-19 holding centre.

According to him, the renovation which is scheduled to be completed within two weeks is worth Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred and Sixty Ghana Cedis.

The works to be done also includes the rehabilitation of a structure close to the isolation centre to used by COVID-19 victims as separate washrooms.

Speaking to the media, the Estate Officer for the faiclity, Mr. Patrick Senedzi explained that, major works needed to be done on the washrooms as such will be completed in four (4) weeks time.

The Nurse Manager of the facility, Felica Atitsogbe expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the nice gesture. on behalf of the Hospital Management, she promised to take good care of the facility when completed and also ensure that it is put into proper use.
