The Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly in the Oti region commemorated Ghana’s 69th Independence Day with a colorful and peaceful celebration attended by distinguished personalities and members of the public.
The event brought together the Member of Parliament for
Nkwanta South, Hon. Geoffrey Kini, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Musah Mahama Sensau, the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Jonathan Korsinah, Assembly members from the various electoral areas in the municipality, traditional leaders,
leaders of religious organizations, personnel from the security services, and the general public.
Several schools participated in the celebration, including Nkwanta M/A Primary School, Nkwanta E.P. Basic School, St. Joseph R/C Basic School, Kyabobo Senior High School, Nkwanta English Arabic Basic School, Nkwanta M/A J.H.S., Nkwanta Adom Model Basic School, and Nkwanta Redeem Basic School, among others.
The MCE and the Municipal Director of Education addressed the gathering during the event. In their remarks, both speakers commended the teachers, students, and the general public for their impressive turnout and active participation in the celebration.
They further emphasized the importance of maintaining peace,
unity, and harmonious coexistence among the people of Nkwanta South as the
municipality continues to pursue development and progress.
