The Chief of Kecheibi, Nana Kecheibi, and his elders have paid a courtesy visit to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nkwanta South, Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi, to express their appreciation for the Assembly’s efforts in renovating school buildings in their community.
The school buildings were previously in a deplorable condition, with some considered beyond repair. However, the Municipal Assembly stepped in to renovate the facilities to provide pupils and teachers with a safer and better learning environment.
During the visit, Nana Kecheibi and his elders commended the MCE and the Assembly for their commitment to improving educational infrastructure in the community. In response, Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi expressed his gratitude to the traditional leaders for their visit and kind gesture, describing their show of appreciation as encouraging.
The MCE also highlighted the need for improved healthcare services in Kecheibi, considering the community’s geographical location. He disclosed that he had started working towards addressing this need, with plans to provide the community with a health centre instead of a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound.
The visit highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Municipal Assembly and traditional authorities in promoting community development. The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to improving education, healthcare, and other essential services to enhance the well-being of residents across the municipality.
